Kept by T. C. Engum, Director of Rural Education/Schools (1924-1953). The files consist mainly of correspondence dealing with transportation and bus routes, drivers' wages, transport of high school and nonresident pupils, district boundaries, appeals for and notices of school district consolidation (including some maps), reimbursement aid for parochial students, complaints against bus drivers, and open enrollment. There are also scattered minutes of the districting committees and applications from school districts to purchase new buses, under the Office of Defense Transportation (1940s). >541
